INDICATIONS:

PROVENOVIT is a natural product specially designed to provide a protective effect on blood vessels. In subjects involved in intensive training, like in the sportive horses, it’s indispensable that all the cardiovascular system works in the right way and that the vascular system responds quickly to the stresses due to the athletic efforts, and this happens only if the vessels are resistant, flexible and permeable. For this purpose several remedies of plant origin are present in Provenovit in order to provide a protective effect on blood vessels. The active substances that mainly provide a protective effects are the Flavonoids which posses a P-vitamin-like activity. On the one hand reduce the permeability and the fragility of the vessel wall and on the other increase the resistance of the vessel wall. Flavonoids acts mainly in three ways: 1) inhibit the jaluronidase: blocking the depolimerization of jaluronic acid ensure compactness and integrity to the structure of vascular tissue; 2) regulate membrane permeability by its activity on calcium binding and transport; 3) increase the L-ascorbic acid activity (C Vitamin): in fact, the flavonoids have the same functional groups that characterize the antioxidant activity of C vitamin. In addition to flavonoids, in PROVENOVIT, there are other active ingredients involved in vascular protection, such as Procianidine and Antocianidine (derived from Blackcurrants and grape seed), which also displayed a P-vitamin-like activity, and Terpenes and Triterpenes (derived from Ginko and Centella asiatica) which provide a trophic activity on connective tissue and a protection of arterial blood vessels. In particular, triterpenes contained in Centella asiatica, leads to a mild stimulation of proline and lysine incorporation in protein synthesis producing an increase of the collagen and tropoelastine production. Moreover, they stimulate the synthesis of lipids and glycosaminoglycans, especially hyaluronic acid and condroitinsolfate. Plant extracts contained in PROVENOVIT, acting on capillary fragility, can be used in all the cases where it is necessary to restore the elasticity and resistance of circulatory system such as bleeding, in Exercise Induced Haematic loss (EIHL) in competition horses or to improve the trophism of the horse’s foot vascularization and in cases of ischemic retinopathy. The use in association with EMORVIT is strongly suggested. Due to the presence of bioflavonoids, the product should be used during the pregnancy under close monitoring of a veterinary doctor

EMPLOYMENT AMOUNTS:

Foals 15 to 25 grams per day for 20 days by administering the product a month and one not. Adults horses 30 to 50 grams per day in cycles of 20 days for the entire racing period. In cases of Exercise Induced Haematic loss the use in association with EMORVIT is strongly suggested.
